For years, hunting retriever enthusiasts in the Greater Cincinnati area contemplated forming an HRC-affiliated club. In January 2004, after much discussion with HRC (Hunt Retriever Clubs) in the Midwest, we decided to make it happen, and the construction of Ohio River HRC began in earnest. 

We began this organization with four people committed to its excellence: Rob New, Bill Davis, Roger Fields and Chris Huber. These four made up the Board of Directors for the club.  Each of them had been involved in HRC and hunting retrievers for years, and they have had the opportunity to see the ingredients that make up a successful club.

Among the benefits of membership in Ohio River HRC are: monthly club training days, more frequent training days with new training partners you meet through your membership in ORHRC, the potential for club discounts at certain retailers, a club picnic held each summer, a club banquet held each winter after waterfowl season has ended, and most importantly, the development of life-long friendships.
