Sunday 5/18/08 @ Fallsville W.L.A.

Sunday 6/22/08 @ Delaware W.L.A.

Saturday 7/19/08 @ Private Grounds (This will give us time to set this up)

Saturday 8/23/08 @ Indian Creek W.L.A."Fun Hunt" (This could be water only to save time and most
likely it will be HOT this time of year.)

Saturday 9/20/08 @ Rush Run or Spring Valley (TBA) W.L.A.

Saturday 10/11/08 @ Private Grounds

All Training Times will start at 9:00 am unless otherwise noted…
We plan on having several areas at each location set up.

Anyone wanting to come early and set up would be appreciated. (8:00 am.)

The plan is to have several areas set up (2 to 3) Everyone runs their dog or dogs at each station
AND sits on at least one full bucket of birds to throw for others running their dogs.

After you sit / throw one full bucket of birds and run your dog, then you go to the next area and do the same… Continuous rotation until everyone has got their fill of training!

This enables us to run our dogs more than once after traveling such distances. You will get more rotations and time running your dogs.

Another benefit of everyone participating in the set up is of course a time saver but additionally newer members can learn how these are set up for training and factor elements of why they are set up the way they are. This acquired knowledge can then be used by members to make set ups on their own at home outside of club training days.

Our goal at Ohio River HRC is to provide a fun, worthwhile, educational training environment that benefits and promotes good sound training for both you the handler and your dogs. Additionally we hope this acquired knowledge that is gained at Club Training Days is used by our members to form groups of members that live closer driving distance to each other and train on their own between Club Training Days.

We are in the beginning stages of developing a Training Map that has all Club Members assigned a number. The number will be beside your name on the Club roster. This number will be put on a Training map in RED that shows your location to other members. (Just a Red Number on the map. No addresses.) This Training Map will also have all the Training Areas marked in YELLOW and the different stations or areas in those areas will be marked or coded.

The end result will be that members can see on a Training Map where other members live and group together to train and the Training Areas will also be on the map for reference to locations of Club Training Days and where members can go to train on their own.

Thanks,
ORHRC BOD & ORHRC Training Committee
